Erin & Eric's Wedding

 On Saturday June 23, 2012 my cousin Erin got married to Eric!  We got them bobbleheads made to look like them, then we took pictures throughout the day without them knowing it!  It was lots of fun and it was a great wedding!  Congrats Erin & Eric!

We're Coming to America!

 We took the long flight back to Michigan on June 21, 2012.  The kids did great on the plane, and we made it back without any delays!  It is good to be back and able to see everyone!

Pre-K Graduation

 Thursday June 14th was Kenzie's last day of Pre-K.  They had a little graduation ceremony for the kids.

Kenzie had a great group of friends this year, although 6 of her friends will not be returning to SCIS next year we look forward to getting to know new friends next year and hopefully having some old friends in her class too!  

We are so proud of our little girl, she has grown so much this past year.  She got really good comments from her teacher saying that she performs well above her grade level!  We are beyond proud of her and can't wait to see what is to come this next year in Kindergarten!

End of school gift

Kenzie's teacher had each of the kids make one of these pictures for their parents as a thank you gift for such a great year.  It is very cute.  

Field Day!

 The craziness that is Field Day!  Each kid had a colored shirt and was broken into "teams". Then they rotated through different stations with activities like different types of relay races, obstacle courses and water balloon toss.  It was a lot of fun for the kids and the volunteers!

Spring Concert

 Kenzie had her Spring Concert yesterday.  They got to perform the songs they have learned in their Rhythm & Movement class at school.  Kenzie did such a good job she sang along to every song.  

Each of the 5 Pre-K classes had their chance in the spotlight, but they all sang to every song.  It was very cute.

Kenzie was searching the crowd for us before she performed.  Kenzie loves her music class and can be heard singing just about everyday!

The Bund & Xintiandi

 We went to The Bund on Saturday.  The Bund is like a boardwalk along the river.  It has a really good view of the Pudong side of Shanghai.  It is also very cool to see at night because all the buildings have colorful lights.  

 They start young with taking pictures of us!!  Haha!

 After The Bund we went to Xintiandi, which is an area that has really cool buildings, a shopping mall and a lot of restaurants.  We walked around then had dinner.

 At the toy store!  Kenzie wanted to hold his hand like it's her dad!  Her words, not mine!

 This is where we had dinner, it is a German restaurant.  The kids enjoyed some sausage and we enjoyed some beer!

It was good to get out and see a few places we haven't been to yet.
