Our Road Trip to Kansas City!

On June 26, 2011 we set out on our first road trip to Kansas City.  We left out house at 5:15am.  The girls slept for a little while to start out.  Here is Kenzie putting her baby to sleep in the car!
 Hannah and her animals!
We drove to St. Louis, MO the first day, where we went to the Gateway Arch.  Daddy, Kenzie & Hannah in the replica of the capsule you ride up the arch in.
Kenzie getting ready to go to the top of the arch!
 Hannah ready to go too!
At the top of the arch!
Looking down at the bottom of the arch!
Looking out at the city & Busch Stadium!
 The girls!
June 27, 2011- We went to The Magic House, St. Louis Children's Museum before we headed out of town to continue onto Kansas City!  It was lots of fun!
They had an Alice in Wonderland theme going on!

Hannah climbed up here then was scared to come down the slide, she was stuck up there for at least 10 minutes until I could find Kenzie to go up and help her down!
 At the water table!

The Magic House was lots of fun!  A good way to tire the girls out before the drive to Kansas City!
Hannah wanted out really bad so in order to make it the rest of the way we bribed her with oreos!
Kenzie with her oreos!  We finally made it to Ron's house around 6:00pm (local time)
June 28, 2011-  Today we went to the Kansas City Zoo (since it was going to be the coolest day that we were there)
 Ready to see some animals!
They had lots of cool animals to see!  The tigers!

 Kangaroos!

They had sheep out and you could feed them.  Hannah was petting them!
This was taken after the girls were scared by the sheep!  It was pretty funny how fast they jumped into Gary's arms!
They also had an area where you could ride a camel!  Kenzie did it all by herself!  I was really surprised that she did it!  She said this was the best part of the trip!

 On the carousel!
 The elephants!
Hannah fell asleep as soon as we saw the elephants!
Kenzie just had to get this mask!!  We also got a tiger mask for Hannah since she was sleeping!
June 29, 2011-  We went to the mall today!  The girls got to pick out a new doll from the American Girl Store, we also took a driving tour of Kansas City.
June 30, 2011- We went to see Cars 2 today!  Hannah watched the first 10 minutes then fell asleep, she woke up about 10 minutes before it ended....when it was all over she said "I saw it"  it was funny!

After the movie we went to Red Robin and had Hannah's "birthday lunch" so Uncle Ron could be a part of it.
We went to dinner at T-Rex, a dinosaur themed restaurant.
Our last day in Kansas City!  Here are the girls with "Uncle Ronnie"  (as they like to call him!)
July 1, 2011-  We drove home through Iowa!  We couldn't miss the chance to visit Grimes, Iowa on our way through!  It is just outside of Des Moines.

We drove all day and spent the night in South Bend, IN.
July 2, 2011 Before we headed the rest of the way home we drove around and saw the Notre Dame Campus.  Here is "Touchdown Jesus"
 Notre Dame Stadium

 The Main Building
After lunch we headed for home finally!  We got home at about 4:30pm!  We had a great trip, but it was sure nice to be home!!

Kenzie's Lemonade Stand

We had a garage sale this weekend so Kenzie decided she was going to have a Lemonade stand too!  Here she is mixing up the lemonade!
Here she is waiting for her first customer!  She actually made $7.50 selling her lemonade!  She was pretty shy at first but by the end she would ask everyone if they wanted some.  It was cute!

Happy Memorial Day 2011!

We had a pretty low key Memorial Day since Gary had just gotten home from his work trip to Germany.  We relaxed at home and had ice cream on the patio!
 Mmmm...blue moon!
We also went to the playground to play!
Kenzie rode her bike to the playground, she is getting really good at riding it!

Last Day of School!

Kenzie's last day of 3 year old preschool was Thursday May 19th. They had a picnic for the kids and parents. I can't believe how fast this year went.
Kenzie by her cubby, she shared one with Lillian.

Getting so big!!

Getting her certificate. Ms. Janice asked each kid what they liked most about school, Kenzie said going to the gym (of course that's what most of them said because the first kid up there said that)

So proud!

Kenzie had a great first year of school, in fact she liked it so much she was bummed that she wasn't going all year round. She can't wait until school starts up again!

Happy Mother's Day!

So we were supposed to go to the Tigers game today to celebrate Mother's Day since Kenzie Birthday was on Mother's Day, but since it was pouring rain all day the game got postponed (to September 1st so we probably won't make it to that game because I will either be SUPER prego or have a newborn at home!). We went to the mall and hung out for the day, it was still a great day of family fun!!

Here are some of Kenzie's Birthday pics! She is such a pro when we get pics taken now, she always has a permanent smile on her face!
She had to wear a braclet and ring in her pics!

Happy 4th Birthday Makenzie!

We celebrated Kenzie's 4th birthday all weekend long. It started on Saturday with her opening up gifts from us...
Aunt Sarah, Uncle Cory & Kadence

Uncle John, Aunt Susan, Maddie & Jack (this was just a small part of it...Thank you so much for spoiling her!!) By the way she spent the rest of the weekend styling her hair!

And Aunt Barb, Uncle Bill, Kaity & Billy!

Kenzie just thought it was so cool to get gifts in the mail, Thank you to everyone for all the wonderful gifts!

We went out for a birthday dinner at Red Robin!
And then we went to the pet store to pick out her birthday present...Kenzie wanted a fish tank this year (more pics to come on that since we still don't have fish)

On her birthday we went over to Grandma & Papa's house since it was also Mother's Day! Kenzie just had to wear this dress, although it didn't stay on too long because it wasn't quite warm enough for it! She got lots of great gifts from Grandma & Papa.

And Aunt Kari, Uncle Kevin, Kayla, Erika & Danny!
